Kris Adams Teaching

Kris is currently a professor at Berklee College of Music in the Harmony, Voice and Ensemble Departments. She is also an author having given presentations of her “Sing Your Way Through Theory” for the NAfME in Germany, California, Massachusetts, for IAJE in New Orleans, for the Society of Music Education in Ireland and for the Association of Popular Music Education in Denver, CO.  She has also adjudicated at the The Northern Arizona University-Jazz & Madrigal Festival, The ClarkTerry-University of New Hampshire Jazz Festival and The Berklee High School Jazz Festival.

As director of Camp Vocal Jazz, Kris organizes a workshop every summer that takes place in Perugia, Italy. 2019 will be the tenth anniversary of Camp Vocal Jazz and will focus on singing the music of two great composers in jazz and pop, Duke Ellington and Carole King.

In the summer of 2013, Kris taught alongside Jonathan Kreisberg (in photo), Kevin Hays, Reuben Rogers and Gregory Hutchinson at the Fara Sabina Music Festival in Italy. She has also been Artist-in-Residence at the Centro-Cultural Costariccense Norteamericano, Costa Rica and has given clinics/workshops at the Berklee in LA Jazz Clinics, Scuola di Canto Moderno in Perugia, Italy and at the Centro Musicale PocArt in Bologna, Italy, the University of Campinas in Brazil and at Canto do Brasil in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Kris has Level 3 Certification to teach Somatic Voicework™ The Lovetri Method.
